For a couple of minutes, Tamsin had contemplated the idea of just opening up Town Hall for the party, but... what would be the point in that? People were fired up on hormones, people wanted to get laid, you needed a space small enough to get 'em close together. So to speak.

Also, this way she got free booze out of the deal, so-- win win.

She'd hung the black sheets back in front of the large store windows (partly to keep the light out, partly so it was slightly less obvious the house was technically a shop she was technically maybe squatting in). She'd tossed a ton of pillows and an old mattress on the floor, since she didn't actually have a sofa, per sé. The rooms upstairs were... well, okay, they were rooms.

And there was a table for incoming booze. With solo cups. Of course.

Perfect. Time for a party. If anyone had seen the posters...

"No triskelion?" Yes, that was the best to focus on.

"I could draw that on my other arm," Jack offered, grinning. "This was more a test pattern."

"You should." FOR REASONS. "Not spending the week with Emma?"

Jack shook his head. "School doesn't accept 'needed to shag myself blind' as a reason to skip class, and it's not worth renting a hotel room by campus," he explained. "What about you? Did the dorms kick you out?"

"I scare Stiles' roommate."

Could be tge serial killer stare. Just maybe.

"I can't imagine why," Jack deadpanned.

"I offered pay for a single room for him." Somehow that hadn't gone over well. SOMEHOW.

"... that's a little sugar daddy even for my tastes, Derek."

Though possibly he shouldn't judge. Emma's studio was so small that he swore it had originally been a walk-in closet, but it was all hers.

"Hence the roommate." Derek just wanted to shower people with expensive gifts to make up for his lack of social skills, okay?

Jack smiled a bit. "Sorry," he said. "Though -- you are getting cockblocked by some 18-year-old with pimples." Not that Jack knew what Stiles' roommate looked like, but he assumed there were pimples.

"Maybe there's a funny side there?"

"It's not fair." Whine, whine, whine.

"Life isn't fair," Jack intoned, tone half-teasing. "I'm sure someone told you that somewhere along the way."

"Once or twice," Derek replied dryly. "The smell in here alone..."

Jack sighed. "Like rolling in the used linens from a brothel, isn't it?" he suggested. "It almost stops being appealing."

"Almost." Why couldn't it stop being appealing? "At least it's not the full moon."

"Don't even say that or I'll imagine us humping every tree and leg in sight," Jack said, looking faintly appalled at himself. "...and now I need a shower."

"Or we would have torn each other apart," Derek added. Helpfully. "Sex and violence can be linked pretty easily."

Jack snorted. "Tell me about it. Some of the best times with Emma happen right after she threw something at my head."

Derek had to blink at that. "Haven't tried that yet."

"She doesn't throw things so much at me as near me," Jack corrected himself. "I don't mean to sound like some battered husband. It's just ... intense make-up sex."

Because Derek could so judge those things.

"Stiles and I have safe words," he muttered sheepishly.

Now it was Jack's turn to blink. "Tie each other up, safe words?"

He wasn't judging; it was just a surprise.

"Sometimes," Derek replied. "Though it's more difficult with... werewolf."

"Not like you get a day off from that," Jack nodded. "It is ... special. I don't know exactly how it works for the two of you, but I have to be a lot more careful now about how I touch her. Wouldn't want a love nip to pass the curse along."
