For a couple of minutes, Tamsin had contemplated the idea of just opening up Town Hall for the party, but... what would be the point in that? People were fired up on hormones, people wanted to get laid, you needed a space small enough to get 'em close together. So to speak.

Also, this way she got free booze out of the deal, so-- win win.

She'd hung the black sheets back in front of the large store windows (partly to keep the light out, partly so it was slightly less obvious the house was technically a shop she was technically maybe squatting in). She'd tossed a ton of pillows and an old mattress on the floor, since she didn't actually have a sofa, per sé. The rooms upstairs were... well, okay, they were rooms.

And there was a table for incoming booze. With solo cups. Of course.

Perfect. Time for a party. If anyone had seen the posters...

"Which is not such a bad thing considering my ability to flirt is about as good as my ability to withstand sunshine," Allie grumbled.

"So go direct. Talk to someone and then just be like 'Do you want to get out of here?'" Kitty suggested. "You're hot and everyone's ridiculous this week, you should totally have no problem."

"Well if I get shot down, you're going to have to listen to me cry into my True Blood." Not really, she had too much pride for that.

"No, if you get shot down- and I doubt you will- then you move on. Or I can always feel the guy out first," she said. "Um. Not with touching, I mean."

Honestly Allie was being dramatic. There would be no tears shed over any rejected itch scratching. She'd just go hit things.

She chuckled at Kitty offers and if her head supplied a somewhat pretty picture for half a second? It was the stupid island's fault. "I think I've got it. But I do appreciate the offer."

"Anytime. So, you know, go get 'im, tiger," Kitty said. "Do the kids still say that these days?"

The kids had never said that.

"You're my own personal cheering squad. I feel like you need pom-poms."

Delaying to work up her courage? Never.

"I had them for a while," Kitty said. "Are you stalling?"

"Maybe?" Allie said sheepishly. But she squared her shoulders and looked resolutely across the room. "Okay, I can do this."
