For a couple of minutes, Tamsin had contemplated the idea of just opening up Town Hall for the party, but... what would be the point in that? People were fired up on hormones, people wanted to get laid, you needed a space small enough to get 'em close together. So to speak.

Also, this way she got free booze out of the deal, so-- win win.

She'd hung the black sheets back in front of the large store windows (partly to keep the light out, partly so it was slightly less obvious the house was technically a shop she was technically maybe squatting in). She'd tossed a ton of pillows and an old mattress on the floor, since she didn't actually have a sofa, per sé. The rooms upstairs were... well, okay, they were rooms.

And there was a table for incoming booze. With solo cups. Of course.

Perfect. Time for a party. If anyone had seen the posters...

"We can fashion you some pom-poms out of what I've brought!" she said, reaching for her bag. "Though it seems like a waste of condoms or whatever."

She glanced around, thoughtful. "This is a shockingly good turnout, actually. I don't know if I've met half these people." Which was, you know. Promising.

"Well, that's no fun," Irene pointed out with a slight pout. "Though it is sort of like having ADD and being fifteen again and just...wholly unable to focus. Air filters aren't a bad idea if it goes on this long again."

"Crafty," Abbi marveled. "I think I'm getting some of that creativity with age. Did you know there are bras that hold alcohol that you can drink right from a straw? It's like, it's like technology is finally right where it needs to be." She was very animated about this topic. Technology was amazing.

"That's me," Abbi said as she shrugged out of her coat and dropped it unceremoniously on the floor. "New and green and at an underground party, so things are going really good for me today." Not sarcasm. She was actually really excited about it. "Are you from here originally?"

"Oh, I'll be sure to do that," Éponine said, smirking faintly. If people were going to compliment her, she wasn't going to say no, even if she did think they were delusional. And hey, she was actually wearing jeans today, so once she got rid of the coat it might be easier to judge. "You're the mayor, then? I saw the people putting up the signs earlier. I thought they worked for you."

"Is that what I'm to do?" he asked, snickering. "Well, I can confirm that that will not be a problem. I look pretty all the time."

"Have you got your eye on anyone in particular?" he asked curiously.

"Can't keep 'em on the shelves," Irene agreed. "Not to mention the other paraphernalia -- there's plenty of lonely hearts that need soothing this week, so to speak."

That was a really delicate way of saying you'd sold a lot of dildos, Irene, good job.

"But believe it or not," she added with a smirk, "I sort of fell into the sex shop thing, when I got here. I'm actually a dominatrix by trade."

In case that was of any interest to you at all, Tamsin. Aaaaaaany at all.

"I haven't tried it yet," Éponine admitted, relinquishing the schnapps and one bottle of whiskey to Irene. "But I'm glad it's to your satisfaction. I only grabbed whatever bottles were at hand before I left. I didn't much pay attention to what they were. I didn't think people would be too particular about it tonight, anyhow."

"Been a while since I banged one of those," Tamsin mused.

Like six hundred years, but who was counting, really? "Though that one wasn't really doing it as a paid vocation."

She was a Valkyrie, of course she was as subtle as a Viking attack, god.

"That's your job," Tamsin confirmed. "Go forth and frolic, eyecandy."

"They do," Tamsin confirmed. What? It wasn't like they weren't shamefully overstaffed for the amount of work you actually had to do on Fandom. At least this way the flunkies got out every now and again. "And I am, as of this year, for some reason. Aren't you the mail chick?"

"I don't think anyone is from here originally," Tamsin said dryly. "Nah, I came down here from Canada a while back."

And to Canada from Norway a few centuries ago, but la la not getting into that right now. "I wouldn't call this underground, anyway, I mean I made sure everyone knew about it."

Allie came in bearing a bottle of rum and a bottle of something shiny (http://www.viniq.com/). She had no idea how it was supposed to taste, but maybe someone would be willing to try.

A few days earlier she'd figured out what had her so on edge. That combined with almost going up in flames in L.A. thanks to the wish wearing off had her hating the island this week.

"I did not know we had a hot mayor," Irene answered succinctly. "Or a mayor at all. Did you know we had a mayor?"

"We all need something," Allie grumbled. "Stupid island."

"With those words of encouragement, who am I to resist?" Hatter wondered, grabbing a glass of wine before wandering off.

"Oh, it's lovely," Irene assured her. "A little on the sweet side, if that's your thing, but fantastic when mixed. Oh, and I'm Irene, by the by -- I think I've seen you around?"

"Is that bottle shimmering?" Tamsin asked.

It was enough to keep her from staring at Allie's boobs, even! ... For now.

If asked Eliot would say he was way too old to go to a make-out party. Except for how he was totally showing up at the make-out party. It was next door and beat the hell out of sitting around wondering if his friends were having sex, so.

He didn't bring anything though. That would require preplanning, rather than just showing up.

You are just so lucky Tony had more class than other people and did not immediately go with 'mustache ride', Tamsin.

So lucky.

"It's a signature," Tony replied. "I'm digging your--well its tough to pick one thing here."

"Probably there are only so many ways to run the place," Jack mused. "And I'm fine. Law school's trying to kill me, but I haven't let it yet. How are you? Trials aside, et cetera."

"I don't remember being this bad at fifteen." Maybe because he was finishing his first round of college then.

"Oh, I work pro bono now," Irene said, lifting a brow. "But before here, I was London's premiere dominatrix -- I worked for royalty, diplomats, mayors...."

Irene didn't even have a handy excuse for her lack of subtlety. She was just like that.

"I didn't really pay it much mind but I figured someone had to be running the show," Hatter said, taking a sip of his wine. "That who you want to enjoy tonight, then?"
