Tamsin's House of Sharp Things And Presently Not Enough Alcohol, Thursday Evening

For a couple of minutes, Tamsin had contemplated the idea of just opening up Town Hall for the party, but... what would be the point in that? People were fired up on hormones, people wanted to get laid, you needed a space small enough to get 'em close together. So to speak.

Also, this way she got free booze out of the deal, so-- win win.

She'd hung the black sheets back in front of the large store windows (partly to keep the light out, partly so it was slightly less obvious the house was technically a shop she was technically maybe squatting in). She'd tossed a ton of pillows and an old mattress on the floor, since she didn't actually have a sofa, per sé. The rooms upstairs were... well, okay, they were rooms.

And there was a table for incoming booze. With solo cups. Of course.

Perfect. Time for a party. If anyone had seen the posters...

"That's cool," Abbi said, nodding. "I've been to Canada a couple times. It's so peaceful, you know? Like the trees and the... mooses..."

Something about the pollen was just making her vomit bad compliments at everyone.

"I'm from New York, so not like that at all."

"Do it," Abbi encouraged. "They're awesome. I feel like it's only a matter of time before we build all our clothes to hold as much alcohol as possible."

She missed being a little jet-setter.

Allie was really surprised that her internal flailing was written all over her face. Because seriously. How the hell did people do this without sounding like an idiot?

She half shrugged a shoulder and tried for casual. "Oh maybe something simple that works off a little bit of that energy?"

And so she did!

"I'm Abbi. And you are... attractive."

Jack smiled at her over the rim of his drink. "If you were going to give up control," he asked, "is there anyone in particular you'd want to do it with?"

Irene was going to need a new drink, now. She'd actually chugged (for a ladylike value of "chug") that one.

"Ladies are more fun," she assured him. "I agree."

"Maybe a design along your collarbone," Jack suggested -- partially because it could be bared without making Eponine take off too many of her clothes, possibly because it was attractively close to the swell of her breasts.

He reached out to try to unbutton the top button of her shirt, if she'd let him. "Maybe even a word instead of a design," he mused. "Liberté; or something like that."
